本书是为培养我国国际物流业所需的既能熟练掌握国际物流专业知识，又能熟练运用专业英语从事国际物流具体业务的复合型人才而专门编写的双语教材，同时也能帮助那些具备一定英语基础并初步具有国际物流专业知识的专业人员提高国际物流专业英语水平，利用英语直接从事和研究国际物流的实际和理论工作。

本书共分12章，每章包括3个部分。部分是课文，该部分用中英文全面系统地阐述了国际物流领域的各个重要环节。第二部分是词汇和术语。该部分紧扣课文，提供与课文内容相关的常用词汇和专业术语。第三部分是练习。该部分充分体现了教材的双语特点，既有中文练习又有英文练习，也便于读者自学。

本书可作为高等院校物流管理、物流工程专业以及相关专业的学生学习国际物流理论与实务的教材，也可作为从事国际物流工作的专业人士的自学参考书。

前言

20世纪80年代以来，信息技术以及网络技术的迅猛发展和广泛普及，极大地推动了国际间的经济合作与交流，世界经济、金融走向一体化，为生产、贸易服务的物流也因此从国内延伸至国外，从而诞生了国际物流这一新的物流形式。进入21世纪后，随着经济全球化趋势的日益增强，国际物流获得了突飞猛进的发展，在国际经济中处于举足轻重的地位。国际物流不仅成为发达国家的利润增长源泉，而且也是发展中国家实现赶的重要战略举措。近年来，随着“一带一路”国家战略的推进，我国国际物流业迎来了全新的发展机遇，国际物流量空前增长，国际物流产业呈现出欣欣向荣的景象。然而，国际物流在中国还是一门新兴学科，国际物流产业也刚刚起步，其科学理论和技术应用的普及程度还很低，教育和培养大批的国际物流专业人才，已经成为中国现代物流业发展的当务之急。由于国际物流所涉及的业务领域十分广阔且涉外性强，如订单处理、运输、仓储、包装、供应商管理、多式联运等具体的业务，在这些业务操作中会用到大量的专业词汇及专业英语知识，所以国际物流专业人才应是既掌握国际物流专业知识和技术，又具备扎实的国际物流英语基础和较强的英语语言应用能力的复合型专业人才。随着全球经济一体化程度的加深，摆在高校教育面前的一个迫切任务就是如何应对全球经济一体化的要求，培养更多能将专业知识和英语语言能力有机结合，融会贯通的复合型专业人才。正是基于此目的，我们组织编写了这本双语教材。

目前我国有关国际物流的教材较多，其中中文教材占到多数；另有少数以英文为主，只提供少量中文注释或中文阐述的国外原版影印教材或专业英语教材，没有做到中英文完全对照。基于此，本书将突出中英文对照的双语特色，旨在一定程度上弥补当前国际物流双语教材的缺乏。本书力求以中英文对照的方式来介绍国际物流的理论知识和实务操作，结构完整，内容全面，操作性强，集中反映了近年来国际物流领域的新发展，使读者能够用已掌握的英语来系统学习国际物流专业知识。全书共分12章，每章包括3个部分。部分是课文，该部分用中英文全面系统地阐述了国际物流领域的各个重要环节。第二部分是词汇和术语。该部分紧扣课文，提供与课文内容相关的常用词汇和专业术语。第三部分是练习。该部分充分体现了教材的双语特点，既有中文练习又有英文练习，便于读者自学。

本书可作为高等院校物流管理、物流工程专业以及相关专业学习国际物流专业理论知识的教材和国际物流行业从业人员的职业培训教材；可作为物流工程硕士生课外的辅助读物及从事物流研究与教学人员的参考用书；还可作为社会上一些对国际物流感兴趣的人士的参考读物。

本书由陈艳策划并主编，刘艳、周海霞和郝国英为副主编。参编人员还有：王路、王宇、贾磊、孙丰岩。编写队伍多年来从事国际物流、物流与供应链管理、物流专业英语等的教学和研究，承担多项双语教学改革项目，积累了较为丰富的教学经验。

在本书编写过程中，编写人员参阅了大量国内外论著，得到了大量丰富的资料，并从中引用了不少经典的概念。编者在本书后将主要参考文献一一列出。在此，谨向各位国际物流研究的专家、学者致以诚挚的谢意。
